Isaac sings in Lakewood church!

Can you believe its summertime again? Things seem to be rolling by so quickly that before we know it, another amazing summer is upon us! Month after month God’s faithfulness has carried us through in greater glory than before. From concerts, to traveling, to milestones and more- each day reveals a new facet of God’s plans and purposes.


The Work in Europe

The doors in Europe have also opened wide for us, as we continue to travel and minister to the people. This summer, we will be ministering in England, Spain, and Germany. We will be evangelizing, preaching and speaking in several churches and even a few youth camps. The hunger of God is great among these people and we are honored to be of use to the Lord in any area of need.


The Sound of Music

As you already know, Isaac has launched a CD. The people have been responding amazingly to it, and have requested concerts all throughout the country of Mexico. Isaac has already performed dozens of times, and each concert opens doors for new ones. The most recent was held in Monterrey, Mexico during our “Prophets Arise” conference. The turnout was over four thousand people, and many were inspired to stand and the promises of God over their lives. Isaac is currently translating his music so that we can offer the message to all the English speakers. Studio recordings are set for later on in the year.


Of Global Influence


Recently, I made a short video about Phenylketonuria and it got quite a bit of attention. I submitted it to the Rare Disease Organization in Europe, and it won first place! PKU (short for Phenylketonuria) is the rare disorder with which Katy (our daughter) was diagnosed. Now, geneticists, neurologists, nutritionists, medical students and more are using my video to explain the condition to their patients and students. They show it at conferences worldwide and present it to doctors, lawmakers, scientists and more. In May, my video was featured in Athens, Greece to many influential people of the rare disease community. I have even found my video on Encyclopedia.com! Katy’s Miracle Unfolding

Katy’s development continues to flourish. Her strength is better each day as she gains coordination and muscle movement control. Her focus is also expanding greatly. She is able to sit and perform activities for an extended period of time with no trouble. Even though she is still not talking, her language skills are blossoming. She is able to say a few words, such as “again,” “more,” “ma,” “out,” etc.

She is also able to understand regular conversations and carry out orders. Katy can point out what she wants through sign language, which she is acquiring quickly. Her latest milestones are babbling and jumping.
We are very proud of her, since it has taken two years of therapy to accomplish. Please continue to keep her in your prayers, as God is still working on our little three year old.

What if you could change your past?

Have you ever watched the movie "Meet the Robinsons?"   If you haven't, I totally recommend it.  Its been a week since I've watched it,  and the message of the story is still lingering in my heart.   

Its a story about an orphan boy who gets access to a time machine, thereby giving him an opportunity to go back in time and change his past.  Like in any movie, the plot thickens and becomes more involved than I can write in a couple of sentences.  Nevertheless, the premise of this story really struck some chords in my heart.

What if I had a time machine?  What If I could erase any sad story that came my way?  As many of you know, my daughter suffered neurological traumas unnecessarily.  The things that happened to her could be quickly erased if we would have known what to do way back in the beginning.  Or what about my teenage years?  The years that brought a lot of pain and scarring in my life.  The things that happened to me should have never really happened.  What if I could go back and change that?

In "Meet the Robinsons" the main character finally gets a chance to go back to the past and meet his mother as she was about to abandon him.  He stood behind her and watched as she put him down on the doorstep of an orphanage.  He slowly inched towards his mother, and reached out his arm to touch her back, but then- he simply withdrew.  He let his mom ring the doorbell and walk out on his life.  He decided to keep his past.

Why?  Because its not the things that happen to us that shape us.  Its the attitude we take to these opportunities that change our future.  Life is not made up of things or events.  Life is made up of convictions, decisions and attitudes.  I heard a man say "The theme of your heart will determine the story of your life."  

Its not really what happened to us that can change us.  Its what we do with what happened to us that will forge our future.  We cant lay down in self pity and regret as life passes us by.  When unfortunate circumstances roll our way we have to decide how we see ourselves.  Are we victims of an event that "should have" never happened, or are we conquerors of our circumstances?   

There is a popular phrase that says "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger,"  and for the christians this is absolutely true.  The bible says that "all things work for the good of those who love Christ (Romans 8:28)"  We can only see our lives from the present state, but God knows exactly how everything will come together to bring about a future full of hope and destiny.  The events that happen to us are meant to shape us, not to break us.  

So if I could have a time machine for a day, I dont think that I would want to go back and change the past.  I am not made up of isolated events.  The painful situations that happened have helped me become who I am today!  It would be of no use to dream big if my character could not sustain the weight of my destiny. 

I really recommend that you rent the movie, if you haven't seen it.  Even if you have, try watching it again with this new perspective in mind.  If you find yourself in a time of pain and testing, cheer up!  You are in the middle of a process that will forge a future that is brighter than you could ever imagine.  God's is working on you today!

Our greatest conference yet

The annual conference, PROFETAS LEVANTAOS is scheduled for April 9-11. Tommy Tenney will be among our guest speakers. Also, Isaac will be giving a concert and ministering during the conference. We look forward to this event with much anticipation. Each year it is bigger and better, and this year should be no exception. We are anticipating about five thousand people to attend.

This is the theme song that Isaac wrote along with Abraham Plata, in honor of the conference. It speaks about Gods favor over our lives:

Isaac Hays- the DAD

Anthem of our Faith

Isaac and I have gone through quite a bit together. We've moved from country to country, had our car stolen, experienced life threatening illnesses and more. But without a doubt, it was the attack on our baby's health that nearly crushed us.

This time, even turning to each other didn't ease the pain or the horror. There was only one place to turn for hope- God. During all the poking and prodding, and even before there was a diagnosis made on our little one, Isaac clung to a specific word for our daughter.

Psalm 61

Hear my cry, O God;
listen to my prayer.

From the ends of the earth I call to you,
I call as my heart grows faint;
lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

For you have been my refuge,

Isaac turned that psalm into his song. Literally. As Katy seized or lay absently from us in her bed, he would sing these words over her little life. For months, he couldn't get through the song without breaking down and crying. That song was our anthem, and we believed it whole heartedly.

As a declaration of faith over our daughter's healing, Isaac and I became very public about Katy's testimony (hence this blog), saying that no matter where she was at today, the whole world would stand in awe and see God's faithfulness over our lives. We challenged people to stick around and watch a miracle unfold in front of their very eyes. Then, Isaac would sing his song.

Every time he played his song, hundred's of people began to respond in faith for the miracle that they needed. Pretty soon, people began to ask if Isaac's music was recorded. Seeing the need for this message to get out, we recorded Isaac's first CD.

It hasn't even been one year since its release, yet nearly one thousand CDs have been sold. As a natural consequence, hundreds of people have contacted us to tell us how Katy's story and Isaac's song helped them believe for their miracle as well. As of now, Isaac has toured the entire country of Mexico and shared his music and our testimony more times than we can count. In April, he will be performing in a concert for about five thousand people.

Although the video is in Spanish, you can read the lyrics in Psalm 61. The intro says

"This is a song that came at a time of few answers. We stood powerless over our daughters future, upon knowing her diagnosis: She would not walk or talk..."
